Employer Connect Gives Students Opportunity to Connect with Industry
More than 15 regional and national employers will attend an event hosted by Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology aimed at connecting students with industry organisations in a bid to continue.
The industry organisations will be at the Employer Connect (Health Sector) event on Thursday, 17 October at the Mokoia Campus in Rotorua to showcase careers in health and social services in the Bay of Plenty.
The focus of the event will be on health and social services, so students can expect to network with industry employers such as CCS Disability Action, Geneva Healthcare, Healthcare NZ, Te Puna Ora o Mataatua, Te Roopu o Iwi O Te Arawa Charitable Trust, Family Works and Manaaki Ora Trust – Te Utuhina Manaakitanga, among others.
Students who want to pursue careers in this sector will have the opportunity to develop networks, build relationships and find out what employers are looking for.
Students will also be able to learn more about, and practice their, employability skills that are needed to be successful in industry, while level 2 and 3 students will be able to further explore their career options.
