If you serve on a Board of Trustees or are a Principle of an Education Facility you are duty bound by the Ministry of Education (ref https://www.education.govt.nz/ Test & Tag link) to follow the AS/NZS 3760-2010 Standard and the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015

We know that you and your staff are already busy, which is why you should consider MegaTest to complete your Electrical Appliance Test and Tag requirements.  As a professional service we pride ourselves in being efficiently thorough, and we are happy to offer solutions and recommendations to reduce your ongoing Test & Tag requirements and costs.  Because we charge per item, the inevitable moving around to locate and test items is not a ‘labour vs hours worked’ expense.

At MegaTest it is our policy to not just tag and charge - we want this to be an ongoing relationship so we will always make recommendations to minimize the costs to your organization.

Another thought to consider is the “she’ll be right” and/or the “I’m just too busy” mentality.  Our MegaTest staff are strict on non-compliant equipment and we will work with your team to make sure your environment complies with the AS/NZS Standards.  As a company we follow our work analysis procedures and all of our technicians hold qualifications to back up their work.

Upon completion of our inspection MegaTest supplies full reports, including an Asset Register detailing asset number, location, model, serial number, test and re-test dates etc.  We can also supply Complication Certificates, Repair Registry, Hazard Concerns.  As an ongoing service we will also monitor and communicate with your education establishment to arrange re-test appointments.

The AS/NZS 3760 Standards state that primary, secondary and tertiary schools, colleges and polytechnic education equipment should be tested every 24 months, but some equipment could be different (more or less) depending on its location - by using MegaTest as your electrical safety ensurer we can guide you on these varying requirements.

MegaTest also holds the AS/NZS 3551 and AS/NZS 3003 Standards Biomedical Technician Qualification and will be able to advise you on the legal requirements of your First Aid room and equipment.

Give us a call or email – We are happy to have an obligation free chat at your convenience.
