Toi Ohomai Students Partner with Industry for 2019 Westpac Tauranga Business Awards

Toi Ohomai was a sponsor at this year's Westpac Tauranga Business Awards, which culminated in a spectacular gala evening on Friday, 8 November at the Trustpower Arena.
The awards recognise and celebrate excellence, innovation and success of businesses in Tauranga.
This year, the Institute had an increased level of involvement by connecting its media students with organisers and finalists, creating a great opportunity for them to build their own networks, as well as practice and showcase the skills they have learnt through their course.
The students spent the weeks leading up to the awards evening filming and editing bio videos of all the finalists, which were shown on a big screen on the night.
In addition to this, Toi Ohomai Chief Executive, Dr Leon Fourie presented the award for Emerging Business to Collab Digital.
Toi Ohomai values are centred around building relationships with communities, as well as supporting and collaborating to achieve excellence. The Institute's ongoing partnership with the regional chambers of commerce shows its commitment to supporting local businesses, as well as building networks that the organisation and its students can benefit from.
