Pedestrian injured in traffic crash on Onepu Road, Kilbirnie.

On Wednesday the 2nd of January 2008 at around 3.30pm a 91-year old pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle on Onepu Road, Kilbirnie between Rongotai Road and Coutts Street.

She was taken to Wellington hospital by Wellington Free Ambulance; it is believed she has suffered a broken arm.

The driver of the vehicle involved, which is believed to have been towing a trailer, remained at the scene until Ambulance arrived but left prior to the arrival of Police.

Police wish to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident on Onepu Road, and encourage the driver of the vehicle to contact Constable Greg Simmons at the Wellington Central Police Station on (04) 381 2000.
