Sudden death in Taranaki

At 11.16 am this morning Police were advised via the Central Communication Centre that a person had fallen off a ledge into the sea at Beach Road, Waiiti Beach.

The fall was approx 15metres in height.

The person involved in this fall was a male and his age is unknown at this point.

As a result of this incident the person has died. It is unknown if the person has died as a result of the fall or has drown after the fall. Police recovered the body approx 1245 hours.
