Delays after fatal crash

At approximately 1.50pm this afternoon there was a fatal crash on SH1, Hikurangi.

3 cars were involved and one of the occupants has died at the scene. 

The Serious Crash Unit is carrying out a scene examination and therefor ethe road will be closed for the next 2 to 3 hours. 

Diversions are in place for northbound traffic at Jordon Valley Road from Hikurangi and southbound traffic at Riponui Road and Hikurangi.
