Police seek witnesses to Christchurch aggravated robbery

Police are seeking witnesses an aggravated robbery which occurred in Latimer Square near Gloucester Street at about 2.00am on Sunday 13 January 2008.

The victim was sitting in the driver's seat of his silver Mitsubishi Cordia car, when he was approached by three males.

One male has punched the victim through the driver's window and then held a knife to his throat. A second male has got into the passenger's seat of the car and punched the victim. The third male has also punched the victim to the head through the driver's window.

A sum of money and a cell phone have been taken from the victim.
The victim sustained small cuts to both cheeks and bruising to his face. He did not require medical treatment.

The victim has described these offenders as follows:

Heavy Build
5'8' Tall
Short Black Hair
Clean shaven
Wearing a Poncho type garment

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or know something about who may be responsible.
