Truck crash closes road

An overturned truck & trailer unit has lost its load of drums containing non-hazardous edible oil at SH28, Rapurapu Rd, on the Matamata side of the Kaimai Ranges.
As a result of the oil spillage the road is closed, up to the summit.
A diversion is in place at the intersection of SH24 & SH29.
No injuries have been reported.
