Location of incident: Beach Road,Paekakariki,Kapiti Coast.
Incident Type: Railway Barrier Arm: Down
Police have been notified that the Railway barrier arm that closes Beach road when a train is coming through has been stuck down across the road. Railway officials are currently looking at it; to ascertain what the fault is. Unfortunately this is starting to cause problems to traffic travelling along SH 1, as vehicles turning into beach road, are starting to tail back onto the State Highway.Motorists to be aware of this problem and be prepared to experience some delays through Paekakariki
