Missing 12 year old boy found safe and well

At about 4.45pm on 16/1/08 a 12 year old boy was reported missing after being on a family walk on Mount Nimrod, Waimate, South Canterbury. 

He had been on a family walk and failed to meet at the carpark at the bottom of the hill.

A helicopter has been used without success and a search group of 30 people along with a search dog will be continuing the search during the evening and into the night. 

The weather at present is fine and warm.

Missing boy located.
The 12 year old boy reported missing on Mt Nimrod has been found by searchers safe and well. He is in the process of being brought out.
