Inaugural festival to unite Auckland's restaurants, chefs and multiple precincts across 10 days of culinary experiences

Auckland's food scene is set to take centre stage this spring with the launch of Auckland Feast powered by Mastercard, a new multi-precinct culinary festival celebrating the restaurants, chefs, producers and dining experiences that shape the city's hospitality culture.

The inaugural event will bring together hospitality operators from across Tāmaki Makaurau, giving locals and visitors the chance to discover new venues, revisit local favourites and experience the city's diverse neighbourhoods, from Ponsonby and Parnell to Karangahape Road, the central city and Takapuna on the North Shore.

Running from 12–22 November 2026, the festival will kick off with a launch party on Thursday 12 November, followed by 10 days of special spring menus, events and alfresco dining experiences across the city.

As part of the collaboration, Mastercard cardholders will gain access to presale ticketing and exclusive discounts ahead of general release. Additionally, cardholders will have the chance to enter daily draws to win vouchers that can be redeemed at participating restaurants.

“New Zealanders are incredibly passionate about dining and Auckland has so many extraordinary restaurants to be discovered. Through Priceless, Mastercard is connecting people more closely to the places, experiences and passions that matter to them, and Auckland Feast will give locals and visitors new ways to take in the city’s food scene, while creating meaningful access and benefits for Mastercard cardholders,” said Megan Simons, Country Manager, New Zealand and Pacific Islands, Mastercard.

The festival has been developed by Lemongrass Productions in response to a growing desire from the industry for an event that celebrates the breadth of culinary talent and hospitality experiences across Tāmaki Makaurau.

Sid Sahrawat, Owner, French Café, says, “We have such a strong food scene in Auckland and I think sometimes we forget just how good it is. There are incredible chefs, producers and restaurants right across the city, and FEAST gives us an opportunity to celebrate that and encourage people to get out and experience more of it.

“We’re looking forward to opening up the courtyard at The French Cafe during FEAST and showcasing some of the great local producers we work with. Hopefully, over time, FEAST can grow into something that people travel to Auckland for and become a real celebration of our food scene.”

The full program, including participating venues, chef collaborations, signature events and dining experiences, will be announced in the coming months.

Tickets will go on sale from 1 October 2026, and Mastercard cardholders have special access to pre-sale tickets, ahead of general release, running from Monday 28th Sept, 10am local time, or until sold out.

Hospitality venues, chefs, producers and partners interested in participating are encouraged to register their interest ahead of the full program launch.
