Love Shopping in Hamilton's Central City
There is something special about shopping in Hamilton’s central city. It is the chance to discover something different, connect with local people and support the passionate business owners who help make our city centre such a vibrant and welcoming destination.
This October, Love the Centre is celebrating our fabulous central city retailers with Love Shopping, a month-long initiative designed to reward the people who choose to shop locally.
From 1 to 31 October, every in-store purchase made at a participating retailer gives customers the opportunity to scan a QR code and enter. Each entry goes into the daily draw to win $50 in-store credit at the participating store of the winner’s choice. At the end of the month, all entries will also go into the draw to win the ultimate $1,350 central city shopping spree, made up of 27 $50 vouchers from each participating business.
It is our way of saying thank you to the wonderful local shoppers who continue to support Hamilton’s central city businesses. Every purchase, big or small, helps strengthen our local economy and contributes to the energy, character and enjoyment of the city centre. We are delighted to have such a wonderful range of retailers taking part. From fashion, homewares, gifts, jewellery, books, comics, food, flowers and art to specialty retailers, there is something for everyone’s shopping choice.
Participating businesses include Parlour, Zebrano, Sills + Co, Wild River & Co, Racket - N-E-S, Mark One Comics, Vetro Mediterranean, Rossellini, Poppies Bookshop, Trek n Travel, Texas Radio, Journey & Co, Ruby, Different Avenue, Agape, Precious Metals, Soul Gallery, Cavelh Décor, Renting with SB, Infinity Spiritual Centre, Gails Floral Studio, Goldsmiths Gallery, Apt Collections, Gaming DNA, Escapist Board Games, Hobby Lords and Photo Warehouse. Many of these businesses are independent retailers, bringing their own personality, expertise and specialist offering to Hamilton making our central city a destination.
Throughout October, we are also encouraging participating retailers to hold special in-store events, and we will share details through Love the Centre’s website and promotional channels. So, this October, show your love for the central city, shop local, discover something new and be in to win! There is always something to do, see, eat, drink and love when you visit Hamilton’s city centre.
