Truck crash brings down powerlines

A truck has crashed into a powerpole in Hutchinson Avenue, New Lynn. 

As a result of the crash live powerlines have fallen to the ground. 

Hutchinson Avenue between Margan and Gardner Avenues will be closed for the next 2-3hrs while the power lines are fixed. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes in the area. 

It is unknown how much of the surrounding area is without power as a result of the crash. 

The driver of the truck has suffered nil injuries as a result of the crash.
