Missing jetboaters found safe and well

At about 10pm on 23/1/08 Police were advised of a jetboat that had failed to return from a day trip on the Waimakariri River. 

There were two adults on board along with two chldren aged 15 & 11 years.

They had launched the boat at Woodstock, just north of the Waimakariri Gorge.

A search boat was sent up the river at 6am on 24/1/08 and the party was found safe and well.

Their boat had broken down and they had spent the night at the Hamilton Hut.
