Car crashes off road near Waiouru

Emergency services are on their way to a single car accident on SH1 south of Waiouru near Irirangi. 

Reports are that there is only one occupant in the car.

The status of the occupant is not known at this time. 

It appears that car is off the road and the road is still open.
