Road closed after fatal accident

At approximately 4.40am this morning there was a fatal accident involving 2 vehicles on the Thames Coast Road. 

1 person died as a result of the accident and 4 other occupants were taken to hospital with serious and moderate injuries. 

The Thames Coast Road is currently closed while a scene examination is being carried out.

It is envisaged the road will be re-open later on this morning.
