Woman found dead in car after crashing into ditch

At approximately 9.10am this morning a motorist came across a vehicle that had run off the road and into a ditch in Matea Road, Rangitaiki.

This is approximately 40km south east of Taupo. 

The driver of the 4 wheel drive vehicle was found deceased at the scene. 

The deceased is a 42 year old female. 

This is the fourth victim from fatal motor vehicle accidents in the upper North Island area over the last 19 hours.
