One dead after tour bus rolls down bank

At approximately 3.50pm this afternoon Emergency Services were called to an incident at SH6 Charleston in the Buller District where a Tourist Bus has rolled over a bank. 

It is believed there were approximately twenty people aboard the bus at the time of the crash. 

There has been one fatality and one person is seriously injured.

Other occupants of the bus are being transported to Westport. 

SH6 has been closed at Charleston to the north of the incident and at Punakaiki to the south of the incident while emergency services attend the scene.
