Surface flooding hits Canterbury, washes out bridge

Members of the public have reported flash flooding and slips onto State Highway 73 in and around the Castle Hill Area.

As at 6.20 pm a local farmer has reported that the Thomas Bridge on State Highway 73 has been washed out making the road impassable.
