Drivers crash up a storm after rain

The Police Northern Communication Centre has received 35 reports of minor motor vehicle crashes since 6.00 am from Turangi to the far north; mainly in the Auckland area. 

As the region is experiencing its first significant rain for some time, roads are greasy and motorists are urged to take extra care and to drive to the conditions.
