Maintenance Work to close road in Tawa

The purpose of this media alert is to make the public aware that Linden Avenue, Linden. TAWA will be closed between Findlay Street and Handside Street, from 0500 hours on Sunday the 17th February until 0530hours on Monday the 18th February 2008. 

Diversions will be in place via Hinau Street and McLellan Street but there could still be delays for traffic moving through and around this area. 

This closure is in place, so maintenance can be undertaken on the railway level crossing. Considerable noise will be generated by the heavy machinery used in this operation. 

Police ask the motoring public to avoid this area if possible, but if travel must be undertaken, please show tolerates to the workman on the site.
