Bomb threat in Oamaru

OAMARU

8.20pm Bomb Threat Oamaru: At approximately 5.15 pm an anonymous call was received at the Oamaru Shell Service Station saying that a Bomb had been left at the Service Station on Severn Street.

Police have evacuated the Service Station and an area around the Station. Severn Street has been closed and is expected to stay closed until after midnight.

Detours are in place, heading south the detours are Thames and Coquet Streets and heading north they are Itchen and Severn Streets.

Police ask that members of the public stay clear of the area.

Further information will be released as it comes to hand.
