Police seek witnesses to Christchurch Aggravated Robbery
Christchurch Police are appealing for witnesses after the Henry's Beer Wine & Spirit Store situated in the Eastpoint Plaza complex in Woolston was robbed.
The robbery occurred at about 8.00 p.m. on Thursday 21st February 2008.
A male who is believed to be caucasian entered the store and presented a syringe and needle to the sole employee and demanded money. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken during the robbery.
The offender has immediately decamped from the scene on foot.
The offender is described as being between 5 ft 5 to 5 ft 8 tall with a medium build. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded jacket with the hood up, and dark jeans.
The offender disguised himself by wearing a scarf around his face covering the area from his nose down as well as black wrap around sunglasses.
'Of note the offender was not wearing shoes and only had black socks on with holes in the soles. He was also carrying a green grocery recycling bag which the cash was put into' says Detective Andrew Beswick.
Police are appealing to any witnesses who may have seen the male acting suspiciously before the robbery or decamping after the robbery occurred.
