Flooding in Northland District

Police at Kaeo in the far north report that rising flood water is making travel difficult in the region.

Dip Road and Hospital Road are reported to be under a metre of water and are impassible.

SH10 at Whangaroa Road is likewise expected to become impassible shortly.

Local residents are warned to avoid travel in the affected areas.
