Fatal crash in Northland

At about 830pm a car crashed into a tree at Whangaroa , Far North.

The tree prevented the car from going over an 8 metre bank. One male passsenger in the car is deceased.

Another male passenger is critically injured.

The driver of the car has minor injuries.
