Police crash sees man injured

At about 9.00am on Thursday morning the 6th of March 2008 a police patrol car was responding to an emergency incident in Glen Eden, Waitakere.
 
At the intersection of West Coast and Bowers roads the patrol car was involved in a vehicle crash with another vehicle. 

Members of the public who witnessed the incident report that the patrol car was travelling through a green traffic light when the crash occurred. The driver of the other vehicle has suffered injury and is in a stable condition. 

The Police serious crash unit are investigating the vehicle crash. 

The incident has also been referred to the Independent Police Conduct Authority.
