Serious Assault Waiatarua Reserve, Remuera.

At approximately 7.45 am a 63 year old female was riding her bike over the southern bridge in Waiatarua Reserve that runs parallel to Abbots Way, Remuera.

As the woman crossed the bridge she has been punched in the face by a male standing on the bridge. The male picked the woman up and threw her over the bridge into the water below.

He has then thrown the woman's bike at her while she was in the water.

The male is described as
Maori/Polynesian
30 - 40 years of age
6ft 4 inches tall
Fat Build

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the male in the park this morning or who may know who this person is.
