Vehicle crash blocks Rakaia River bridge

A vehicle crash has occured on the Rakaia River Bridge being part of SHW1 between Christchurch and Ashburton. 

The road is currently blocked and emergency services are at the scene. 

Unknown how long the bridge will be closed for.
