Search near Waimakariri River

Police are today as part of normal investigation procedures following up with a search of the Waimakariri River area.

Last weekend which is the weekend of interest due to Maries disappearance there a number of disorder and noise disturbances reported to police in and around this area.

This search is being conducted by the Land Search and Rescue Volunteers coordinated by Police . This group is made up of approximately 28 People including Civilians and Police. All are trained in tracking and search procedures.
