Police close road due to house fire

A section of the Coatesville-Riverhead Highway near the Huapai Golf Course has been closed to allow fire service personnel to deal with a house fire.

The closure is to enable appliances to travel up and down to water sources away from the scene.

The Road has been closed between the SH16 intersection and Riverhead Road. Diversions are in place using these roads.

The road is expected to remain closed for another hour or two (until 0100).

The closure is not causing major inconvenience at this time of night.
