Fatal Leap in Auckland City

Auckland Police are investigating an incident on Princess Wharf where a man's body was found near the wharf edge just before 4.00 am.

The man was reported to have been drinking with a group of friends in an 8th floor apartment and had been talking about jumping into the harbour from the balcony.

Police are still speaking to witnesses and attempting to locate next of kin.
