Fatal crash in Waikato

5.10pm Emergency services are at the scene of a 3 car crash at Tirau Road on SH1.

One occupant is deceased, another is being airlifted to hospital in Status 1 condition. Three others have minor injuries.

Diversions are in place at Taotaoroa Rd & SH29 for all northbound traffic on SH1.

The southern end is closed at Karapiro Rd.

Maungatautari Rd also has a diversion back towards Cambridge.
