Man dies in Winton crash

At 2245hr on the 1 May 2008 Police, Fire and Ambulance attended a crash on the Winton-Lorneville highway (SH 6) about 2 km south of Winton near Gap Road West.

A vehicle has left the road and crashed into a ditch. On arrival at the scene it was confirmed that one male person has died as a result of injuries received in the crash.

Police would like to speak to the occupants of a white Ute that stopped and checked the crash scene and also the driver of a large truck that stopped at the crash site.

A full investigation will be carried out by the Police; the matter will also be reported to the coroner.
