Boy dies in fall

At about 1200 today on a farm at Kotemaori a 12 year old boy died as a result of a fall over a
60 metre cliff.

The boy and his 10 year old brother were chasing wild goats on the farm when he fell.

His younger brother raised the alarm.

Rescue helicopter from Hastings and Police from Wairoa attended the scene and the boys body was carried and then winched out of the gorge.

The boy has been named he was Bradon Lee John MCKIE aged 12 years of Kotemaori.
