Christchurch landslide closes road

A landslide has occurred behind 84 McCormacks Bay Rd, Redcliffs, Christchurch.

Three houses have been evacuated as a precausion.

Nobody has been injured as a result of the slide.

McCormacks Bay Rd has been closed between Maffeys Road and Basil Place.

A detour is in place across the Causeway.

There should be only minor disruption to traffic.

Christchurch City council engineers are on site assessing the situation.
