Car v train near Kaioura

At 1752hrs on the 10 May 2008, the Southern Communication Centre was advised that a train and a car had collided near Kaikoura.

One 75 year old male was transported by helicopter to Christchurch hospital in a serious condition.

Kaikoura Police will be carrying out a full investigation.
