Male threatens to harm himself during domestic incident

A 42 year old male has been arrested by police following a domestic incident in Hastings this morning.

A female called police about the behaviour of the male and left the address.

After the female left the male poured petrol on his clothing, open the valve on a gas bottle and threatened to set fire to himself.

Police negotiated with the male for half an hour before he surrendered to police.

Fire and Ambulance attended the scene.

No one was hurt during the incident.

Police are talking to the male.
