At approximately 12.30 this morning the Christchurch Drug Squad executed a search warrant at a Spreydon property.

AOS staff were used to clear the address.

A preliminary examination this morning located equipment and chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

As a result of this examination, the scene has been closed down until specialist ESR clandestine laboratory staff arrive today from Auckland.

It is expected a detailed examination will occur later this afternoon.

At this stage no-one has been charged with any offence relating to the search warrant.
