Tour Bus Involved in Crash in Auckland City

Police are clearing the scene of a crash at the intersection of Mt Eden and Boston Roads in Grafton.

The crash involved a car and a tour bus and occurred at 2.40 pm.

Initial reports indicate that the car may have been attempting an overtaking manoeuvre when it collided head-on with the bus.

Both occupants of the car have been transported to hospital with minor and moderate injuries. \

None of the 11 passengers on the bus, or the driver, were injured.

The tourists are Hong Kong-based Chinese nationals, due to leave the country tomorrow.

The scene is expected to be clear in time for the evening rush hour(s).
