Diesel spill closes Manawatu Gorge road

8am Police have closed Napier Road (Manawatu Gorge) due to a diesel spill that is currently affecting both lanes.

The spill (near the Woodville end of the Manawatu Gorge) has been assessed by Police as too risky for vehicles to travel over.

Transit are currently en route to the gorge to address the spillage and Police will re-open the road as soon as possible.
