White powder find in Whangarei

At about 3.15pm, a call was made to police that a staff member at 'the pulse', Raumanga Valley Road and Waka street, whangarei had opened an envelope containing a white powder.

Police, Fire and Ambulance attended and address was sealed off and staff members from 'the pulse' were evacuated and de-contaminated as per standard operating procedures.

The envelope was sealed and forwarded for analysis to identify the substance.
