Serious injury crash in Lower Hutt

Lower Hutt Police and the Wellington District Serious Crash Unit are investigating an incident that occurred in Konini Street, Wainuiomata this afternoon where a 9 year old boy was struck by a car.

The boy has been taken to Hutt Hospital with serious injuries.

Police have spoken initially to the driver of the vehicle involved who is cooperating with Police.
