Incident Type: Logging truck blocking the road
Police have closed Makara Road (between Karori and South Makara Rd) as a logging truck has slid off the road near the summit.
It is likely that the road will be closed for 2 hours while the logs are transfered to another truck. All traffic travelling to and from Makara will need to take the alternative route through Johnsonville.
