Serious crash - Waihi Whangamata Rd, Whiritoa

Emergency services are at a car v truck & trailer crash approx 2km on the Waihi side of Waihi Whangamata Rd., Whiritoa.

The car driver has been airlifted to Auckland hospital in Status 1 condition.

The road between SH25/Golden Valley Rd & SH25/Whiritoa Beach will be closed for up to 2 hours while Police determine the cause of the crash.
