Bank robbery in Meadowbank

The Mt Wellington Police are investigating the armed robbery of the ASB Bank, Meadowbank on Friday the 30th May 2008 at about 1:30pm.

Two people have entered the bank and one person has presented a firearm at staff.

The offenders have then exited the bank, with an undislosed amount of cash, and driven off in a stolen grey Peugeot .

This vehicle has been located abandoned in a carpark at Waiatarua Reserve on the corner of Grand Drive and Abbotts Way Meadowbank.

Police are interested in hearing from any member of the public that was near or using the Waiatarua Reserve carpark between the hours 12:00 and 1:40pm.

The stolen Peugeot has also been seen at a burglary that occurred on the 28th May 2008 at a Mt Eden address.

CCTV coverage shows a male person wearing a green top with white stripes and cream coloured shorts.
