2 June road closure

Waitemata Police Serious Crash unit, per Sergeant Stu Kearns, advise that a section of Scenic Drive Waitakere will be closed from 0800am - 1200pm on Monday 2nd June (Queen's Birthday Holiday).

The closed portion will be between Piha Road and Te Henga Road.

It has been deemed necessary to close the road in order to recover a motor vehicle involved in a crash on 1 June.

The vehicle is down a steep bank in dense bush 20 metres from Scenic Drive.

Access to Piha can still be gained via Piha Road. Access to Te Henga (Bethells Beach) can be gained by either Te Henga or Waitakere Roads.
