Crash Causes Disruption

A two-or three-car crash has closed the intersection of Stancombe and Chapel Roads in Flat Bush, Manukau City.

There is considerable disruption to traffic in the area, compounded by a minor crash at nearby Te Irirangi Drive. This is a busy area and motorists are advised to avoid the vicinity.

Traffic is being diverted from Chapel Road onto Baverstock to the north and turned around on Chapel, south of the scene and north of Flat Bush School Road. There is another diversion on Accent Drive at the intersection with Savona Drive.

Two people were trapped as a result of the crash and are reported to have sustained moderate injuries.

Another five are being treated at the scene for less serious injuries.
