Fatal crash near Palmerston North

11.10pm - Police and emergency services are responding to a vehicle collision on Paihiatua Aokautere Road in Palmerston North.

There is understood to be one deceased person at the scene and possibly two others still trapped.

The road is closed and diversions will be considered.
