Fatal crash in Tauranga

A car has crash at the roundabout of SH2 and Maungatapu Rd in Tauranga. Only the one vehicle was involved and the male driver died at the scene.

Two other occupants in the vehicle sustained injuries which aren't believed to be life threatening.

The road in the vicinity of the crash is closed but diversions are in place.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and no further details of the deceased will be released until the next of kin have been advised.

Motorists in the vicinity of the crash are asked to drive with extreme care.
