Land slide closes road

At approximately 6.15 pm this evening there was a land slide on SH 2 at Karangahake, 2 km north of the Waikino Tavern.

Transit are on scene clearing the road but the road will be closed while work is carried out.

Could all motorists take care around the Karangahake Gorge area.
